Fishing for blue fin tuna is promised to be a great time, and even though we have had extremely high catch/hook-up rates in the past, we can not guarantee them.
You will be spending your day time on a tuna boat, so please read the next sections to understand the chart boat tournament rules, as well as the weather and what to bring.
Also, remember tuna fishing during the tournament is catch and release. Fishing gear/tackle will be suppled by your charter boat. They will all be equipped with rods, reels, and other required rigging. Boats are fully equipped with washroom facilities, bunks, table/sitting area (inside and outside), music system, life jackets, lunch, snacks, and beverages .
Canada International Tuna Cup Challenge works with the PEI Tuna Charter Association to ensure rules and regulations adhere to the Standardized Catch & Release Plan for Atlantic Bluefin Tuna as outlined by Fisheries & Oceans Canada.
